Dr. Lokesh Lingappa

Dr. Lokesh Lingappa is a renowned Consultant Child and Adolescent Neurologist based in Hyderabad, India, with over two decades of experience in pediatric neurology. He obtained his MBBS from Karnatak Medical College, Hubli, followed by an MD in Pediatrics from the prestigious PGIMER, Chandigarh. He further specialized in Neurology with a DM from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru, and holds an MRCPCH from the UK, having trained at Birmingham and Bristol Children’s Hospitals.

Over the course of his career, Dr. Lingappa has become a key figure in the field of pediatric neurology, currently serving at Rainbow Children’s Hospital, Banjara Hills. He has been instrumental in building a comprehensive pediatric neurology department that includes specialists in neurosurgery, genetics, developmental pediatrics, and psychiatry.

Dr. Lingappa’s clinical expertise spans neonatal neurology, pediatric epilepsy, neurogenetic disorders, and neurological intensive care. He is also known for his work on childhood strokes and has been credited with identifying a novel mechanism for basal ganglia stroke in infants, earning international recognition.
