Dr. Kasu Prasad Reddy

Dr. Kasu Prasad Reddy is a pioneering ophthalmologist with over four decades of experience in eye care. As the Founder and Co-Chairman of Maxivision Eye Hospitals in Hyderabad, he has performed more than 45,000 laser surgical procedures, establishing himself as a leader in the field. His commitment to excellence and innovation has transformed the landscape of ophthalmology in India.

Dr. Reddy's educational journey began at Guntur Medical College, where he earned his MBBS degree in 1974. He pursued an MS in General Surgery at Stanley Medical College, Madras, and later specialized in ophthalmology, obtaining a Diploma in Ophthalmology from Dublin, Ireland, and MRCOphth from London, UK. His training also includes Aviation Medicine from the UK, reflecting his diverse interests and expertise.

Fluent in English and Telugu, Dr. Reddy has introduced several groundbreaking procedures in India, including the first LASIK surgery in 1996 and the first ICL procedure in 2005. His contributions have been recognized with numerous awards, such as the Best Researcher of the Year by the Andhra Pradesh Academy of Sciences and the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Indian Society of Cornea & Keratorefractive Surgeons.
