Tuberculosis. TB, or tuberculosis, is a disease caused by bacteria called Mycobacterium tuberculosis that can affect anyone at any age. The bacteria usually attacks the lungs. Particular groups of individuals, however, are shown to be at a higher risk of acquiring the disease than others..it is not a genetic disease..it is transmitted from one person to the other person.
